(TSI-Waived Program)
The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program is designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in residential and light commercial HVAC installation, service, and troubleshooting. The curriculum emphasizes a strong foundation in electrical systems, motor control, and commercial wiring, combined with core HVAC principles and diagnostics. Students develop hands-on skills in refrigeration systems, air conditioning operation, and system troubleshooting, with a focus on identifying and repairing faults in real-world equipment. Electrical training is integrated throughout the program to ensure students can safely work on control circuits and components commonly found in HVAC systems. Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce with the technical knowledge and practical experience required to install, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC systems. The program also prepares students for the EPA Section 608 Certification exam.
