Electrical Helper

Department

(TSI-Waived Program)

The Electrical Helper program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions supporting electricians in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. The curriculum provides a foundational understanding of electrical theory, wiring methods, and safety practices required on job sites.

Students develop practical skills in basic electrical circuits, commercial wiring, and National Electrical Code (NEC) standards. Emphasis is placed on safe work practices, proper tool usage, and the ability to assist with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.

Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce as electrical helpers with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to support licensed electricians in construction and maintenance operations.
