(TSI-Waived Program)
The Residential/Commercial Electrician program is designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in electrical construction and maintenance. The curriculum provides a strong foundation in electrical theory, wiring methods, motor control, and the National Electrical Code (NEC), combined with essential safety practices and blueprint reading.
Students develop hands-on skills in installing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems used in residential and commercial settings. Training emphasizes proper wiring techniques, code compliance, and the ability to diagnose and repair electrical issues in both new construction and existing systems.
Instruction integrates real-world applications to ensure students can read electrical drawings, install circuits, and safely work on energized and de-energized equipment. Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce as electrical helpers or apprentices with the technical knowledge and practical experience required by the industry.
