Art

Limited Art scholarships are available to students who major or minor in the Visual Arts. Course participation is mandatory.

Athletic

Panola College awards scholarships in the following intercollegiate athletic programs: baseball, women’s/men’s basketball, volleyball, women’s/men’s rodeo, and Esports. Awards are on a competitive basis and may vary.

Drama

Drama Scholarships are available to students who are interested in participating in campus theatre productions. Majoring in drama is not a requirement, but participation in practice is mandatory.  Applications are available on our website.

Music

Music scholarships are available to those individuals who will perform in campus musical organizations. Practice participation is required as well as participation in performances. Scholarships are available for students who perform in the band, the stage band, and the Pipers. Applications are available on our website.

Presidential Scholarship

The Presidential Scholarship covers all tuition, fees, and required book expenses incurred at Panola College for the fall semester immediately following the recipient’s high school graduation. Any unused funds will not be disbursed to the student. The scholarship is renewable for the subsequent spring semester and for a second year, provided the recipient continues to meet all eligibility and renewal requirements. To qualify, a student must be a National Merit Finalist, earn a composite score of 27 or higher on the ACT, or achieve a score of 1800 or higher on the SAT (Reading, Writing, and Math); be TSI exempt through qualifying test scores; and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). For renewal, recipients must successfully complete a minimum of 12 semester credit hours, or the required number of hours for their specific program, and maintain a minimum 3.00 grade point average each semester.

Dean’s Scholarship

Each accredited public high school is responsible for selecting recipients for the Dean’s Scholarship. This scholarship pays tuition and fees for the fall semester immediately following the recipient’s high school graduation and is renewable for the spring semester provided the student successfully completes at least 12 semester credit hours, or the required number of hours for the specific program, with a minimum 2.50 grade point average. The Dean’s Scholarship is awarded for one academic year only. An exception applies to valedictorians, who may use the State of Texas Honor Graduate Certificate to cover tuition (not fees) during their freshman year at Panola College and then apply the Dean’s Scholarship during their sophomore year. To be eligible, students must rank in the top five percent of their graduating class and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Panola College Leadership/Achievement Scholarship

Each accredited public high school is responsible for selecting recipients for the Panola Leadership Achievement Scholarship. This scholarship pays tuition only, excluding fees, for the fall semester immediately following the recipient’s high school graduation and is renewable for the spring semester provided the student successfully completes at least 12 semester credit hours, or the required number of hours for the specific program, with a minimum 2.25 grade point average. The scholarship is awarded for one academic year only. To be eligible, students must demonstrate leadership and/or achievement through participation in school or community activities, have a minimum high school grade point average of 2.00, and complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). High schools may award up to seven scholarships from the current graduating class.
