The Texas Legislature has mandated that a course repeated by a student more than twice at a public institution of higher education may not be reported for state funding. For a course being “three-peated” (taken for a third time), students will be charged $75 per semester credit hour ($225 for a three hour course) in addition to tuition and required fees associated with the course. Courses in Developmental Studies are not affected by the supplementary fee. Scholarships do not pay for “three-peat” courses.
