The Associate of Science in Health Science (Pre-Nursing Transfer) is a suggested pathway to meet the bachelor of science in nursing core requirements for a Texas university. The curriculum for nursing is the set of lower division courses that must be applied to any undergraduate nursing degree plan when a student transfers to or from any Texas public college or four-year institution. Following this advising pathway ensures completion of the core curriculum and the field of study for a bachelor of science in nursing.

The following courses are required by the Health Science - Nursing Field of Study: BIOL 1322, BIOL 2301 and BIOL 2101, BIOL 2302 and BIOL 2102, BIOL 2320 and BIOL 2120, MATH 1342, PSYC 2301, PSYC 2314.
Lab must be taken as a portion of the course and taken in the same semester as the lecture.
*SOCI 1301 - Some universities may require PHIL 2306
