The following suggested degree plan with an emphasis in Business prepares students for transfer to colleges and universities that offer bachelor degrees in various areas of business. Students interested in careers in business that are planning to major in accounting, business administration, finance, international business, management, or marketing should follow this curriculum. Coursework in accounting and economics will provide the foundation for specialized business study later in a BBA degree.

Advising Notes
The following courses are required in the Business Administration Field of Study: ACCT 2301, ACCT 2302, BUSI 1301, ECON 2301, ECON 2302, MATH 1324, and two directed electives.
Students are required to take specific directed electives from the following list depending on the university they plan to attend. Consult with a PC advisor to determine which classes will transfer to your university. BCIS 1305, BUSI 1307, BUSI 2301, BUSI 2304, BUSI 2305, ENGL 2311, MATH 1314, MATH 1325, MATH 1342, MATH 2413, MATH 2414, SPCH 1321
Students transferring to SFA will take MATH 1342 and ENGL 2311 as directive electives.
Students transferring to UT Tyler will take BUSI 2305 and BCIS 1305 as directed electives.
Students transferring to Texas A&M University - Texarkana will take BCIS 1305, BUSI 2301, MATH 1325, or MATH 1342 as directed electives.
SFA and UT Tyler require Life & Physical Science from the following: BIOL 1306 and BIOL 1106, BIOL 1307 and BIOL 1107, BIOL 2301 and BIOL 2101, CHEM 1305 and CHEM 1105, CHEM 1311 and CHEM 1111, CHEM 1312 and CHEM 1112, GEOL 1303 and GEOL 1103, GEOL 1304 and GEOL 1104, PHYS 1301 and PHYS 1101, PHYS 1302 and PHYS 1102, PHYS 2325 and PHYS 2125, or PHYS 2326 and PHYS 2126.
SFA and UT Tyler require Creative Arts from the following: ARTS 1301, DRAM 1310, DRAM 2366, or MUSI 1306.
SFA and UT Tyler require Language, Philosophy, & Culture from the following: ENGL 2322, ENGL 2323, or PHIL 1301.
The following courses can be used towards the degree: MATH 2313 and MATH 2314.
